Kage watched eagerly as the eggs began to rock. He children would be hatching soon and the joy he felt was indescribable. He watched as his hatchlings emerged, the sight brought tears to his eyes. He had two boys, two perfect boys. Lyre nuzzled her head into his, "Look at our children, they're perfect." Kage wiped a tear from his eye, "Yes and I cannot wait to tell father that he has two grandsons."

I’m a Corrupted Pearl; offspring of a monster with two pearls and his mate, a naïve Obelisk long under his spell. Aquaris is a killer, having vowed to get his revenge on the world for the wrongs done him. Spectra, however, is deluded that he still is the charming, innocent Pearlcatcher — an act that he’d put on when he met her — and doesn’t even recognize him for who he is, let alone protect her hatchlings. Psyche is the last dragon of Spectra’s clan, all of whom were murdered by Aquaris. At night, she steals their offspring and tries to give them a better future than to be accomplices of a murderer …
