It started a long, long, time ago. to be exact, it all happened when the arcanist let the shade in for the second time. Death, was created. A thing that not only brought bad, but a lot of good, into life. Quickly after, the council of Scythes was made, a place where Grim reapers were recruited. The form of "death" is only known to a few, unfortunately or fortunately, I don't know what it's form is, so we'll just have to leave it at that and hope you believe and understand what you're reading. Cause it's about to gett a helluva lot crazier.

Link was the last born of her siblings, in fact, she was born so late, none of her sisters and brothers knew of her existence, they had all gone down their own paths, one as a soldier- soon to be shade touched and the living dead, another was a sister dedicated to finding the first one mentioned, and yet another two where mindreader twins, she knew all of them. She had held her cleaver against each of their throats, in all their many near death experiences, she never showed herself to them though. When a dragon is dying, Grim reaper's become invisible to the mere eye, standing with their weapons close, ready to kill if that is deaths wish. Because of this, most dragons don't get to see them often, but every once in a while, if you're lucky, you can see a grim reaper strolling down the street, probably drinking coffee and whistling while spinning their cleaver around, it's just the way they roll. Now, back to the story.


The cleaver whipped in the air and the bug sliced into two, splatting against the window. Link adjusted her hood and walked away, resting the weapon on her shoulder (you didn't think they only killed dragons now, did you?) To the dragons around her, all they saw was a bug killing itself against a window and then a few seconds later, a dark looking dragon appearing out of thin air and walking down the road, that though, as we now know, wasn't the way it happened. She looked around, resting her gold claws on her gray pearl, no dragon to kill here. The reaper smiled and walked down to the port, feeling the possible death any of these dragons could have, she looked at a waiter serving coffee to a green banescale, he could take his fork and stab the waiter. Another, a obelisk walking down the road, above him was a loose rooftile, it could fall of any second and clonk him on the head, she took a deep breath and felt a heart attack ready to kill an undertide that was flying above her, Link felt it all, but she didn't use her cleaver, when something was to be killed, in her eyes, they got a dark halo around them, like as if the shade was trying to pull them into a portal, that's when she would turn invisible and swing. She snapped her head round, there it was, she was being summoned. He paws followed the feeling and she walked up to ship, not registering the words Atlantis written on the side of it. She flew up to the deck and began fading from view, taking out her cleaver with a shing, she saw a halo round an orange gaoler that was laughing, the derg was going to choke. Link took a breath and lifted the weapon, A blue pearlcatcher walked towards her and she cursed jumping to the side, miscalculating as the cleaver cut him, the pearlcatcher froze looked at his shoulder, blood trickling out, the gaoler stopped laughing and looked at the blood, a brow lifting on each of their faces. Since the gaoler stopped laughing, she was no longer going to choke, cause of that, Link immediately became visible, all three of them stood there looking at eachother until the gaoler spoke up "Well… that's something you don't see everyday." The blue Pearlie nodded, a small smile emerging on his face. And link smiled back, a weird silence filling the deck.

And that, my dear readers is today's story. What happened after that besides weird silences? I'll leave that for you to decide..
