Biography

something you didn't even realize was there buzzes to life, startling those present. static echoes in the room amongst layers of silence.
"can you.. hear me?"
runes fill the room, and a piece of technology manifests against the wall. the static is back. tensions are high.
do you answer the voice? do you inspect the gadget? the clock is ticking, and the choice is yours.
The previous item shrivels immediately to glitter, and in its place spawns a familiar.
This thing shouldn't talk, but it speaks as readily as ever.
"Greetings," the candelabra flickers loosely as it looks up at the dragons. "Apologies for the intrusion, but Veno is in an awful sort of problem, at the moment. The Starship Arcadia has sunk to the bottom of the Worldedge Wetlands; and we need to retrieve as much of its contents as draconically possible."
____"I've never heard of any of those, either. But... bottom of the wetlands? Is there a dragon trapped down there, or something? I don't know how much any of us here can help, we're mostly drylanders." XxXprincessXxX paused, thinking. Well, if they could choose who the message went to, they probably would have, right? Or maybe... they thought the message wouldn't be well received elsewhere...?
____"Don't, uh, don't get me wrong. If there's folks to be helped, we can... I guess I could ask-- no, Koi would bite my head off if I asked anyone off from gathering duty... anyone else interested in coming wouldn't be old enough..." She trailed off, realizing it'd be pretty difficult to spare dragonpower from the clan as they prepared for the lean winter months. People would want to help, but it would get bogged down in talking to other clans, and in the meantime there was someone out there who needed help now.
____But one dragon? One lone wolf out on her own, slipping away from the endless obligations of being the only dragon in the clan who knew how to fix broken wires...? One dragon could probably be spared. "Okay, actually, uh... here! Let me write a note to Kira, so she doesn't worry, then you and I can go and figure out fixing whatever it is. Can't be too hard, right? You and me, we'll head on over to, whatsit, the Wetlands place." XxXprincessXxX cast about for something she could use to write, found an itty bitty notepad, and struggled to write a short message for Kira. (XxXprincessXxX hoped it was legible; she mostly typed.)
____ As XxXprincessXxX and the familiar left Kira's abode, and went to the obelisk's workshop to pack a bag, she asked some questions. "I should ask-- do you have a name? Mine's XxXprincessXxX," she said (yes, all the X's said aloud too), "but you can call me Princess if it's easier. And, uh, I guess-- anything else about this situation you can tell me?"
