Calla's Log: So soon after we encountered a dragon who feeds on magical energy we find one in our own nest. That proves it. This was pure chance. They were both born like this, and there is absolutely no one to blame. No science experiment gone wrong, no mishandling as an egg, no radiation, no faults of the parents. If this is karma, this is reinforcing that we should have killed Funk when we had the chance. This is not a fact I wish to acknowledge. We have to keep them both safe. Angel was worried when I told her about her newest hatchling, but she and her mate are strong. Their daughter will be safe with them, but she might need to be kept from her nestmates so as not to hurt them. I know this will likely hurt her mentally for her first few decades.
I hope she can find it in her heart to forgive us.
