Akisu

Born into a family with multiple lineages from rather infamous figures in the past, Akisu’s life was thrown into chaos the moment he emerged from his egg. With a cursed name placed on their family, his parents fled from their relentless hunters, eventually ending up losing all of their children in different parts of the world. Akisu was adopted by a clan who called the huge ocean home, not far from his actual birthplace. Perhaps his bloodline truly came with a curse - even without knowledge of his identity, he grew up as an outcast, from his unusual colors to his naturally quiet demeanor - a situation that was made worse as he went through the journey of discovering himself. Most dragons simply ignored or shunned him for how he looked, while some deliberately insulted him, whether by continuing to refer to him as his birth gender or making snide remarks whenever they laid eyes on him. The Obelisk spent a vast majority of his time aging alone, with only the woodland creatures and wild flora to keep him company. He eventually left the clan that had did nothing but leave him terrible memories, becoming a wanderer of the world. Throughout this time, he discovered that he had a unique gift: as he left little offerings of summoned rain to parts of the forests he traveled through, those parts would bloom with fresh plantlife in kind. This talent did little to ease the loneliness that had settled in Akisu’s heart over a decade of being on his own. His ability to nurture crops had caught the attention of some fledgling clans, who allowed him to share their food resources in return for his elemental blessings. However, nothing had really felt like home to him, and sooner or later he would be back on his own lonesome journey, moving on without seeing the fruits of his work bear. Everything changed when he stumbled upon another dragon amidst a storm in the forests of the Sunbeam Ruins; a Wildclaw huddled in a cave all by himself seeking shelter from the pouring rain. Akisu felt a strange connection to the admittedly rather handsome dragon, who later introduced himself as Miso. Somehow, he had found a kindred spirit - from their shared personal identities to the fact that Miso was an exile, someone just as lonely as he was. From that day onwards, the Obelisk acquired a new traveling partner, slowly developing feelings for him as they spent more time together. As much as the new journeys brought companionship and hope, it came with a few devastating realizations for Akisu: Miso’s connections to his blood family, who had ultimately led to his banishment from his old clan, ended up leading him to discover the truth of what happened to his parents - they were executed on sight, and none of Akisu’s other siblings were ever heard of again. The news had stunned him at first, before a deep sorrow took hold of his heart - yet it was accompanied by a warmth he had never felt when Miso stayed by his side firmly instead of abandoning him like everyone else had. It wasn’t easy for the two to address the growing feelings between them; Akisu’s shy nature and self-doubt kept him from declaring his affection openly, while Miso felt lingering guilt for bringing upon the crushing reality onto his companion. Yet, the trust that the two dragons shared while forging their bond eventually triumphed their personal fears, and Akisu felt truly loved for the first time when Miso finally kissed him one night as they fell asleep by each other’s sides. The pair ceased their life of wandering upon finding the Clan Of Starchasers, who accepted both of them without judgment. Both of their talents were finally utilized to their full potentials - with Akisu now being a dedicated farmer tending to ripe fields, and Miso serving as one of their new clanmates’ chefs. It was also in their new home that Miso had eventually proposed to the Obelisk, who had been so happy that he was unable to vocally say yes from hugging the Wildclaw through his tears and tail wags for at least a minute. With a loving husband now by his side, Akisu feels content in their new settlement, continuing to cultivate the clan’s crops and ensuring them a bountiful harvest every season with his gentle summons of rain. When neither of them are busy with work, however, Miso is frequently spotted by the large dragon's side, cuddling with his partner and whispering loving words into his ears.
