the triple-white coatl was a bit odd, you thought. oracle, alvia said its name was. turquoise-flaxen leaves and flowers were sprouting up from her wasp segments, and that was quite unusual for a plague dragon – which they must be, given those bright red eyes.
a copper-colored vest adorned its body, with pale brown ribbons draped across their sides, and white star-silks upon its alloy wings. a glass sphere half-full with blue liquid was attached to its chest, giving off a soft glow.
you hadn't quite noticed before, but part of their tail was missing, revealing some sort of machinery with more plants growing out of it. a cable or two hung from the shell-less segment, one of them severed and sparking occasionally. when you look up again she's staring right at you.
you notice she doesn't have a mouth.
