Comet is a kind, gentle Imperial with a soft voice. He is empathetic and level headed, and works as a peace keeper between members of his clan. He is close with his brother Kaster. they joined Phtalo's clan at the same time, and can often be seen on patrol together. Comet is the slightly more powerful mage.

When he joined Phthalo's clan, caught the eye of a shy, nervous dragon named Beforedawn, who had been forcibly split from her pervious mate, and children, and was afraid to love again. Comet was unaware of the dragoness's shy hints until her sister Starynight confronted Comet about it. Comet began to reciprocate Beforedawn's affections, much to her delight. although the pair havd had permission from Phthalo to have dragonets, Beforedawn was afraid that her children might be taken again, and was hesitant to have any new eggs.

As time passed, Comet and Beforedawn's love for eachother slowly began to fade. Both became more interested in themselves and their work than eachother, and their union slowly disolved, althoh they never formaly seperated. During a battle with a very powerfull imperial named Scryer, Beforedawn vanished and Kaster was badly wounded. thinking him dead, Comet fled from Phthalo's Clan and decided to make a new life elsewhere.
