The Northern Saw-Whet Owl is of the nocturnal variety as they are small owls! These little guys hunt primarily off of sound and are found in North America and live primarily in denseForest climates. These types of owls are prey of larger owls but primarily eat rodents etc. themselves. These mammals are categorized as Carnivores.

These guys lay around 4 to 6 white eggs which are left in tree cavities or woodpecker holes. Males sing to attract females and once they mate the father will do most of the hunting while the mother will be with the eggs. These guys struggle to keep their nests protected as competition aim to destroy their nests so that they can take it for themselves. Shockingly enough this species is hunted by hawks as well as prey.
