Sapote

Sapote, unlike Lychee, actually has a charge to protect- his tea bushes. The heart of their clan is his tree-trunk home, and a humble crop of tea he obsesses over. It's unlike any other plant species in the Labyrinth, with the ability to accelerate healing and relieve pain, it tastes a little bit like custard, winter spices, and plum.

He first began to live here alone, his search had led him to the tree and he was going to stay as long as he could. Then Lychee arrived, greatly upset upon finding her charge and all the suffering she'd witnessed along the way. Sapote was a scavenged egg raised by his loving wildclaw fathers in Lightflight, he hadn't grown up around highborn guardians, so couldn't care less about what their culture says about her. He just really loves his partner who actually grew up learning combat and other dragon skills he didn't.

Sapote's charge means he has an innate power to grow plants. His very presence is sun and shade and nutrition if he wishes, and the magic he carries from living in the Sunbeam Ruins whirls around his body as little flecks of light. He often helps rehabilitate new dragons- Sapote brings a blanket of calm and quiet to any conversation.
