Tera

it/ze collectively - it/its for TERABYTE, ze/zem/zir for Teracyra, it/its for Data
Tera is an AI combined with a dragon's body and mind, called such because it is a composite of TERABYTE (the AI, the backronym is short for Terrifying Electronic Robotic Autonomous Bringer of Yielding and Terror in Enemies) and Teracyra (the dragon). Neither TERABYTE nor Teracyra nor any of the blurry parts where they intersect like to talk much about the place they came from, but from what the other dragons of the clan have put together, they had lived under an oppressive empire, where TERABYTE was used as a weapon and Teracyra was a brilliant engineer and physicist. However, there was a flaw in TERABYTE's creation: only AIs which showed loyalty to the empire and a willingness to kill its enemies survived their production and were connected to mechanical parts to be weapons, but TERABYTE learned to fake it very well instead.
At the same time as ze was beginning to doubt that the empire that ze had lived in and served zir entire life was good, Teracyra discovered the secret to creating a portal to other universes, which ze had been researching for years, and decided to keep it secret for a time until ze was certain ze wanted the empire to have it. But that was not to happen: after accidentally overhearing a secret meeting while on a space station, an alert went out that ze was now a wanted criminal, and ze ran for the docks, hoping (perhaps irrationally) that ze might be able to escape. At that time, TERABYTE was a scouting ship, and when Teracyra ran past it, it, in a moment of impulsiveness, opened its doors. Tera doesn't talk much about what happened next, but it managed to escape the empire with Teracyra's secret and at one point, to smuggle TERABYTE out, Teracyra went through an experimental process to house an AI in a person's brain. Much of TERABYTE's stored data was lost in the process, but its personality survived, and during that time TERABYTE and Teracyra partially merged together. Though TERABYTE and Teracyra still exist as individuals, the lines between them are quite blurred and parts of their personalities bleed over into each other. When Tera came to the clan, it made mechanical augments for zemself. First, to add data storage and computing power and then to physically augment itself so that ze would feel more comfortable in zir body.

As of September 20 2022: Data (formerly in chassis https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/54611424), a rogue AI from Star Station, has been uploaded to Tera. At first, Data searched for a chassis of its own, but after not finding a suitable one for some time, it has come to enjoy the company of its headmates and is staying in this body permanently.

When working on the portal (codenamed Project Vortex), Tera ran into a problem: it required magic, and although it was able to use magic, ve was far from adept at it. In a stroke of luck, a mage calling himself Voidsong showed up at the clan asking for the resources to build a portal to other universes. It was then that Tera saw that ve had only had half of the schematic the entire time: such a portal could only be built as a perfect fusion between magic and technology working in tandem.
