Born to the region's Summer Oracles, Deim enjoys the blessings of the bloodline without the responsibility of having to be the Herald of Summer (a duty that has gone to xir youngest nestmate). As xe has not taken the mantle of Herald, xir powers are limited to moderate control over local weather, slight influence over emotions, and heightened dominion over Water magic in the summertime.

Xe lives a carefree life dictated only by xir own whims; xe is adamant about only one thing, which is not taking orders from anyone but xemself. Tempest and Rococo are affectionate with their children, but as adventurous souls by nature, Deim and most of xir siblings have chosen to leave the clan in search of other, grander horizons. Since leaving the clan, xe has wandered across much of Sornieth. Xe has never been the type to stay in one place too long unless something or someone really catches xir interest.

Unlike many of the Summer Oracles and their scions, who thrive under the long daylight hours and scorching sun, Deim prefers nighttime to daytime. Xe delights in summer evenings and thunderstorms, and loves spending the dog days moongazing on beaches. Xe thinks the nights' brevity makes them more precious. This usually means xir sleeping schedule is a mess, but considering the optimism and energy xe constantly exudes, it doesn't seem to be affecting xem too much.
