- like not to the point the gear is useless or unwieldy
- but why would you spend all these resources on something and not look good
- get this mismatched armor stuff out of here
- not metal armor, layered scales and squares

- using the virulentian armorer's guild as a ladder to force herself into the fancy pants society because she likes it
- guilds weren't really a thing in the ruins prewar (ie the mass entry of fireborns who left the waste and never went back)
