ANI
The spirit Ani coalesced into being as a rather plain tundra -- but they weren't content with that form, and didn't stick to it for long. Ani possesses the ability to reincarnate themself into the body of one of their children, and from there into that body's children, and so on. They quickly set about to use this ability to improve their form. Ani hires willing consorts with traits they admire, breeds with them until a suitable offspring is produced, and then jumps into that body. Ani maintains that their practice is one of reincarnation, not of body-stealing. They claim that their soul leaves their current body and enters the new one at the moment of conception, and thus that the new body never had a soul of its own. Whether this is true is currently impossible to determine. Ani enjoys spending the time between reincarnations in the company of their consorts and the children they did not reincarnate into. Ani pays their consorts handsomely to provide childcare and company as well as genetic material, and while monetary, their relationships with their consorts can be close. However, these relationships end immediately on reincarnation, when Ani's former consort technically becomes their parent. |
