B I O G R A P H Y

Main Theme: Theme of the dragon, once I find one.

______ Sensitive to elemental energies from birth, Obsidian had always wanted to study the leylines of Sornieth, and sought to pursue a career at the illustrious Oculus of the Eleven. Her plans were waylaid, however, when she found Solace, most curious to investigate the energy that radiated from the floating citadel. Now a member of the clan, she has found an even greater area of fascination for research - investigating the origins of the Arcanist and the nature of the reactor that created the youngest deity. Her attunement to all elemental energies is a substantial asset for her research, but it also proves useful in other situations, such as deciphering the function and operation of magical artefacts, and identifying illnesses caused in dragons by overexposure to elemental energy.

______This latter gift was actually what brought her together with her pair-bond, Gwyar, a badly injured dragon who had been besieged by warring energies after being left for dead on the boundary of Plague and Shadow territory, and who was striving to survive in spite of it. It was Obsidian who identified what burdened him, and her aid was invaluable to his eventual recovery. She understands his suffering better than anyone else within the clan, and admires him greatly for his tenacity in spite of it.

______Midnight is a great colour, and Midnight Crystal/Facet is especially wonderful. I bought Fractured Cosmos just for her and still think it suits her perfectly - same again for the Bewitching Bangles. Her name came from her colours making me think about Dragonglass from the Song of Ice and Fire series, which is actually obsidian.
