 Witchrose was born an arcane primal fae, and his parents gave him the name Archimedes- a very traditional, intellectual name for an arcane fae. However, he wasn't interested in the usual things that arcane flight was known for- studying the stars, the world, magic, history, philosophy... yawn!

As a teenager, he became very excited by the concept of being in a band, and tried out for several young groups popping up among his schoolmates. However, as a traditionally raised arcane fae, he had never learned to express emotion in his voice, which led to a pretty flat delivery in his singing. He was rejected time and time again- that was, until he discovered metal. A genre which demanded a lot more screaming than emoting, this proved to be very suited to the young fae's talents. Adopting the stage name Witchrose, he struggled at first because his pastel pink and yellow colors weren't quite the aesthetic the metal audience was going for.

During these early years he met a dragon who would become his lifelong friend and rival- a wildclaw from plague flight named Fester. He worked as her opening act for several years, which helped to build his audience and let him prove that just because he was pink didn't mean he couldn't put on a good show! In fact he leaned into it, building his brand as something of the opposite to what Fester was doing- while she celebrated her home flight's culture, Witchrose became the voice of a disenfranchised population who did not feel like they belonged to the places where they had been born. Who were pink and small and powerful magically, but did not want to be a scholar; they wanted to rock!
