Blackfire always wanted a clan to call his own but never found a good spot to make it, until he came to the windswept plateau. "Here" he thought when he came to the land "its perfect". Once he found a clearing he liked he got started on making it feel like a home. A few hours went by and a traveling mirror landed by him, watched him as he cleared out some bamboo before asking " what are you doing all by yourself?" without even looking at her he answered, " I'm clearing out this bamboo for space for my future family". She then laughed a bit before saying "how do you plan to make one for just yourself?", at that he stopped and turned to look at her but before he was going to give a sarcastic answer until he saw she was almost his opposite in colors.

For the next few hours, she helped clear out the space he had and they talked about his plans and even hers. To Blackfire's surprise, she had no home at the moment and was probably going to go serve the windsinger. Once they were done he thanked her for helping, seeing as it would have taken a few days to do it by himself, but before she was about to leave he stopped her. "You asked before how I was going to start my clan before I didn't have much an answer but now I have a question for you". Curiously she asked for his question to which he answered: "stay with me and keep helping me until we are no longer able to fly away". At that, she laughed again and said: "I thought you would never ask".

Now: Blackfire got his wish for his own clan, even though some of the newcomers are a little hard to handle at times, and all of his own kin has gone to either serve the windsinger or find a place to call home. He is happy and kept busy with taking care of those he calls family.

Even though he would never fully admit it to anyone he wishes he was born with the genes like some of the others. "one day" he thought while watching the hatching's play and the others taking care of them and doing what needed to be done for the day. "I will make myself nicer with some of those genes as well, but what ones?"
Random clan member: "i don't know what this feeling is, and I'm scared"

Blackfire: "what am i doing? i'm fighting for you, you bloody idiot!"

"every single one of you are part of this clan, part of this family. do you know what that means? that means we protect eachother. i don't give a damn if you hate everyone or love everyone, just don't hurt anyone. and i swear to the wind singer, if any of you even dare think about betraying or hurting us, i will not hesitate to hurt you ten times harder and then leave you in the dust"
