Negaria

As prickly and deadly as the thorns that seem to cling to her constantly, Negaria is by no means a jolly tundra like you would expect. She is very wary towards other dragons, and when meeting new dragons, she will often lash out and throw herself into the dominating role of a group or situation. Having no known parents, Negaria is pureblooded, and therefore being the first to found the Clan of The Wolfsbane Woods, she is the queen of all the dragons who reside in her hidden thorny world. Dragons whisper tales of her ruthlessness to outsiders and traders, and they bow their heads in submission as she passes, drawing no attention to themselves. They call her The Mother of Thorns and The Crooning Queen, due to her sickly sweet voice she adopts when she is livid or disturbed. Every dragon in her clan that joins must swear fealty to The Shadowbinder and promise to obey Negaria as their queen. If they follow, they are allowed to keep their gods to worship, but are strongly encouraged to worship The Shadowbinder as their one and only deity. If they choose not to bend the knee, then Negaria has...ways to deal with them, as the pesants and merchants say. Her mates are chosen purely strategically to ensure that her children are strong and able to rule one day. Basically all of the males in her clan are males that she can choose as mates, and for a short period of time they may live in the castle with her until their hatchlings grow into adults. Then they will be forced out of the castle and back to their regular lives. Her current mate, Alethios, who rules with her as an equal, is the only male allowed to live in the castle with her as her permanent mate. Many of her sons are warriors that will eventually be traded to other clans to join Negaria's domain with theirs. Negaria has a rare sweet side that many have not seen often, but she truly does care for the well being of her clan, as she sees them all as her family. If anyone hurts her family, she will see to it that they will pay dearly for their mistake.
