B I O G R A P H Y

Main Theme: Theme of the dragon, once I find one.

______ Marica’s every movement displays an effortless grace and elegance that belies her noble bearing. She adorns herself to match, complimenting her deep indigo scales with gilded jewellery and golden ribbons and flowers draped across her wings. Her Ice magic is powerful, but more remarkable is her exceptional control of her element, which allows her to form incredibly intricate structures from ice. Her cool temperament is matched by a cold aura around her that often leaves tiny ice crystals behind in the places she perches, and causes small snowflakes to drift in her vicinity. Most of her time is spent within the bounds of Solace, where she is a steadfast guardian of the Well of Souls hidden deep within the citadel.

______Though she isn’t close to many, her closest companion is indisputably her pair-bond Spectrum. It was within Solace that they met, and before anyone around them had realised it, the two of them had already come to share a close bond as though they had known each other their whole lives. Few quite understand the wavelength they share, but they seem perfectly content nonetheless, following a rhythm only they two can hear.

______I loved Marica's colours a lot as soon as I saw her, and I still love how great Butterfly looks on Fae wings. I was somewhat thinking of Elden Ring when I named her, somewhat thinking of the nymph Marica from Roman mythology, and later also realised there's a butterfly with blue-ish wings called Chloreuptychia marica - so I think the name is a good fit. I gave her Fields of Remembrance because I thought it looked perfect on her, but later realised the gold helps add another layer to the Elden Ring nod, and now it's hard to imagine her without it.

P L A N S

Marica used to have Cherub for
her Primary, which I enjoyed,
but I very happily changed it to
Fern when it came out - such a
pretty gene! No other plans to
change Marica after that.
