Mercury's clan was founded by her and her partner, Ra, two lightning dragons originating from the Shifting Expanse. At the time their clan had no name as they were quite small and were content with it. As the clan grew, it was joined by a number of misfit dragons. Some left their clans in search of a new one while others had been ousted from their homes. Mercury accepted them all with an open heart, and soon the main purpose of her clan became to give any dragon who needed a home a place of sanctuary.

The clan is highly peaceful and values the pursuits of happiness and knowledge. Every now and then, they move to a new region to learn from the other dragons there.
