Polyphemus

Whilst scavenging in the Sunbeam Ruins, Teddy and his life partner Calypso discovered a small nest containing a single egg. It did not smell as though it had been inhabited for a long while. Teddy suggested that the two of them take it back to their lair, or else the egg would surely be destroyed by predators.
Calypso was initially wary of her mate's suggestion-his overly trusting nature had got him in trouble on numerous occasions- but when she sat back to observe the dust-covered egg, she found a sudden maternal surge for the unborn creature, and placed it into the already egg-filled nest, where it hatched soon after.
They named their adoptive son Polyphemus, a fitting name for such a fierce boy, Calypso observed. Although parents and child are of different species, Teddy and Calypso have vowed to bring up Polyphemus as if they were kin, teaching him everything they know. They are always sure to bring back extra meat or fish for him, encouraging his species' natural diet.
Polyphemus has grown into a fierce fighter under the tuition of his mother, Calypso. He uses his newfound skills to defend his lair, and keep watch over his younger sisters. He'll never admit it, but he loves them dearly, and would fight tooth and claw to keep them safe.
