Biography
It's been years, no, decades since this body had been his; since he last had this body to himself, or shared a thought with no one but himself. Rasahaj knows - he still hears the faint whispers of the devil that took his flesh as its guise, clawing away at every frame of his off-kilter being, all-consuming in its monstrosity, free to slay both friend and foe at its own discretion. However long has it been since that rotten soul had infested this chassis of his? Rasahaj can no longer say; time is but a concept too abstract for someone that watched most of his life unfold from behind a window pane - all those years were filled with blood, with all-encompassing splatters of viscera and gore, accompanied by sick satisfaction that took root within both his heart and mind. He'd always believed he'd be rid of it the day the devil left him, by the time he'd be human again - perhaps he yearned for freedom for too long, too openly; Rasahaj found himself freed of the foreboding creature years down the line, by pure chance. But that wasn't enough. It had been too long - his flesh felt cold on his bones, his eyes foreign in their barely meaty sockets; his body bled as his mind was starving and the thirst, oh the thirst, it almost slew him. Even as he feasted on freedom, he realized that he still was bound by shackles, his late tormentors last gift to him - and thus, Rasahaj butchered many more in his own name, with no past to return to, or future to call his own. But why employ a murderer as a knight, one dares to ask - perhaps the answer is better left unspoken. _______________________________________________________△ |
