ABOUT

Kharat is a kind soul and truly loves Eowen, way beyond just saving his kind. He saw her pain when she lost or had to leave a nest and it killed him. He himself also felt the harsh pain of knowing he had children that never would be... But he was not allowed to feel pain, for his positive loving attitude was the only thing keeping them alive and together for the longest time. Kharat had to carry Eowen emotionally because she was never allowed to feel true loss when she was younger.So he in a way would pretend that the nest never happened , the day after abandoning them he acted normal .. slowing them to act like the death of their children was nothing more than a bad dream.

The Beginning, Again

After many years spent rebuilding their clan and ensuring the safety of their children, Kharat could no longer take watching Eowen suffer. The toll it took on his mate drove him to the depths of the Gloom Fields, where a powerful pair of Changers resided. He had heard stories of them before — dragons with the power of shapeshifting and altering genetics. The thoughts racing through Kharat's mind went against everything they had been fighting for, but what was once a necessity for survival and a promise to keep has become a shackle on their future. He could think nothing else of severing their duty to the Ahi.

Kharat met with the Changers, who were called Phantasm and Mirage, and pleaded with them. Something to free them from their fate, to live life anew! Kharat's pleas and desperation hung in the air while the two spirals silently brought out a scale. They rummaged through some bags and emptied out the contents onto one side of the scale, never once blinking. They then gave him a scroll each, and instructed Kharat of its purpose. A scroll that would transform inside and out. No longer would they be considered part of the Ahi, and the powers granted by their bloodline would be their price. It was a heavy cost, but it was all he had.
