The fragility of time. . ....how peculiar. . . .

You know, there isn't much to it; You're born, you live, you perish. It's just a cycle, forever bound to repeat itself over and over without change.

But that's what you know anyway.

No, my dear. There's far more than meets the eye, and it appears you have but a simple, common mind that perceives it, blind to the true events of the stars and time that revolves around everyone.

Such a shame. I yearn to find someone who thinks, who sees, who works the same as I. All my fellows who dwell within these humble tents fashioned in the windy region seem not to know what I speak of. I hear them, talking about my enigma, about my odd behaviors, why I stay with them. I wouldn't think the idea was so perplexing to believe, but everyone makes mistakes, I suppose.

Of course, wouldn't even you want to know what a time mage occupies herself with?

Yes, in this world, and many more, I come as a manipulator of time passage and the stars, specifically in the form of a "Skydancer". Sounds a bit like what my clanmates seem to gossip about, yes? They act like I can't hear them for some reason; I can hear every little rumor they whisper under their breaths, their stories that humor me enough to chuckle when I walk by, their assumptions of my cryptic past that make me ponder their own. A bit silly to myself, honestly.

Would you believe it though? I'm merely one of many forms with the same mind, here to befall or guide whatever fate is for them all. Does that sound crazy enough to believe to you? Or do you think like me? I'm but a simple Skydancer who wields the ability to hold time in her own hands like malleable metal. Do you believe that?

Time can make many characters do interesting things. I've witnessed horror; tragedy; good endings; bad endings. Becoming so used to it, I feel like I simply read a book by now. Long, lengthy, and I normally, unfortunately, know how it will end.

But that's why I'm here. Why I'm in the book.

To change that.

And only time will tell if their story turns into one of glory or gloom.
