Avarah is bubbly, bouncy, and, rather like a spiral, exists in one of two states: hyperkinetic or unconscious. They have a short-range teleport ability, and the more excited they get, the more likely they are to poof spontaneously and/or uncontrollably. Because of the potential for catastrophe, Lakeisha has regretfully banned them from her laboratory—regretfully because she would very much like to perform research on them, but after one near miss when they jumped into a (fortunately empty) isolation chamber, the risk is simply too great.

Avarah doesn't care at all, because they'd much rather be outdoors than in some stuffy underground lab. They adore running, leaping, and dancing through the woods and fields around the Spire. They've also taken a passionate interest in foraging, which isn't too useful in a lair full of mirrors, but Boris and Shanneira certainly appreciate it. They love to spend time around Shanneira's home and garden (but not in them, Shanneira insists, because like their mother, Vervai, they have a tendency to trail glitter in their wake), and although Lenore finds their energy rather exhausting, she's nonetheless inexplicably charmed by them. Perhaps it's their absolutely untroubled and free nature, along with their boundless good cheer.

»Avarah has not settled down at all since becoming a parent. Nadia finds this somewhat concerning and keeps an unusually close eye on their hatchlings, often asking the other young dragons to help keep their kids out of trouble.

»They're by far the fastest runner in the pack, but their distractability and lack of fine control makes them a dangerous flier. You might want to keep your distance.
