Biography
Ohan's unfortunate beginnings
As a barely-grown Fae orphan whose parents had been killed in a skirmish, Ohan found himself in the care of a shady auctioneer, who sold him to a young would-be clan leader not much older than himself. He was soon to learn that Tak had rejected her first mate, Roveg, owing to her xenophobic desire to surround herself with fellow Fae. Ohan's primary job was to look pretty and provide Tak with "more suitable" offspring; Tak worked some uncomfortable genetic sorcery on Ohan's appearance in order to further this project.
Family
Ohan isn't close to many of his children, as he has been kept rather cloistered. He maintains regular contact with his daughter Sybil, who lives in Plaguelands. Ohan began to register how timid and naive he'd been kept when Sybil returned from traveling with a young son in tow. Feeling protective of his grandson Djoser and wanting a better life for him, Ohan began to reassess his station in life and the narratives he'd been fed about himself. He did all this quietly, speaking to no one of it.
Changes
Tak attended a region-wide "Fae Pride" conference, where she met a second consort, Gwaihir--her rationale being "more is better." While Ohan felt a tad jilted, he was interested to note that his main sentiment was relief to be out from under his mate's scrutiny.
Presently
Shortly before Tak and Gwaihir’s secondary heir, Salvia, reached adulthood, Ohan had a confrontation with his mate. Tak informed him that Aya had just been altered and dismissed from the Canopy, for the crime of dalliance with a Guardian.
“Your obsession with purity has gone too far,” Ohan finally exploded. “One of my own parents wasn’t Fae.”
Tak didn’t take kindly to this rebuke, and indeed was outraged to learn that her first consort was not “pure” Fae. As retribution for Ohan concealing this information from her and siding with their errant daughter, Tak again summoned her magic to alter Ohan, and dismissed him from the Canopy.
