Unseelie was born alone, orphaned and parentless. Her egg hatched in solitary loneliness, rolled from some unknown nest and abandoned beneath a clump of glowing fungus. She had no parents or clan to speak of, and found herself, trembling and pale, in the darkest depths of the Tangled Wood. She stumbled from one patch of luminescent mushrooms to another, seeking shelter under their blue tinged ribs. As long as she wandered she saw no other dragon, but the hoots and howls of the beasts hiding in the thickets startled her, and she fled through the mist. Finally she came upon an enormous skeleton, a pile of bones overgrown with thorns and weeds. A small opening between two of the ribs beckoned, and Unseelie bolted within. The beasts chasing her saw the massive corpse and dared come no nearer, and Unseelie was safe.

The skeleton became her home, and sheltered her as she grew. Her mate, Sidhe, is also her first patient, a former Guardian who sought Shadowbinder's boon to transform into a Fae so he could live inside the skeleton with his charge. The transformation drove him mad and left him only with knowledge of his charge. As he had dedicated himself to her, Unseelie vowed to care for her mate and any dragon who comes to her home seeking healing. In the arching bones of her home she founded the Bonewood Sanatorium, a place of refuge for those with none.
