His scales may glitter and his eyes may sparkle like jewels, but a sickly core hides beneath. Descendants of Naomi never live easy lives - the prophets he met on his travels told him as much.
The curse would continue to consume him until there was nothing left, they said. He would rot on the inside until there was nothing but a glittering shell, they told him.
Traveling to the plague flight in hopes of understanding the decay better did nothing. He only felt sicker and sicker. His affliction was never going to get better - his only hope was that the Southern Icefields could at least preserve him for longer.
After all, if the Icewarden could manage keep the horrors of the Fortress of Ends in check... Perhaps he could seal away this curse as well.
