Personality Anyone in the Hallows who would tell you about Chaucer would tell you one thing. He's weird for, especially for an Azaco city member. It's not like he's that different from them. They'd say he's quite charming, has a good way with words. They just find it weird he has orbs of lights float around his body, throwing the dimly lit tunnels into an array of dusk themed colors. But over all, the Hallows describe him as a sweetheart, and his slightly nervous demeanor endearing. History Getting the job of lead celestial cartographer was just pure luck on his part. While he might have been born in the Southern Icefields, Chaucer was raised in the Sunbeam Ruins, surrounded by a plethora of shelves chalked full of all sorts of scrolls. The star charts though were what called to him, causing him to study giant galaxies long into the nights. There had been a few problems, though. The Sunbeam Ruins had very little places where the stars could thoroughly shine, the nights never dark enough for him to see more than only the brightest of stars. And the clan he was staying in, they had started to talk about sending him to work under the Lightweaver. It was that night that he packed his bag, leaving the place he was raised without a single trace. A life serving the god of light didn't sound good for him, after all. Naturally, he was drawn to the Tangled Woods. He had heard stories, nights dark enough that the stars shined as bright as a full moon in the Icefields. Legends and tales of distant galaxies able to be seen in the deep black sky. It was enticing, and enough for him to jump at the first shadow clan member he could. Seeing such a young dragon so willing to jump into their claws the Hallows scrambled to grab him up. Their cities were too dark for his eyes, light so dim that it was hard to make out colors of certain things. With magic he learned in his past clan, he materialized orbs of light to float around him. The initiation process was quick for him, and he was soon free to go in and out of the great tree as he please. Chaucer used his first night as an official member to climb the great trunk, scale the huge branches far enough to break through the foggy cover to look at the night sky, a real night sky. The legends were true. And the nebulae he saw were beautiful. Trivia
