Biography

Pumi was on the edge of the cliff, watching the fiery sunrise. This was the dimension of fire, where gods of flame reside. She was usually very quiet to herself, not attending the wild parties of the mansion or playing that game where you set random mortals on fire.

She felt a claw on her shoulder and turned, her fright immediately relieved. Her friend Kimu was there, ghastly as always as she sat next to her. Kimu was a Mirror with skeleton patterns all over and a ghost-like stare that made Pumi's heart jump.

While Pumi was a bit of a nerd, focusing on archiving texts and writing stories, Kimu was an all out party goer. She always attended those gatherings at the grand mansion and would sometimes throw some herself. It seems like those personalities wouldn't fit, but the fact Kimu never dared to mess with mortals made her seem braver to Pumi.

She was uneasy, fiddling with a book in her claws as Kimu smiled. ``Thought you wanted some company, you alright?`` Pumi sighed, placing the book on her side. She wanted to come out for a while, but didn't expect her to appear so suddenly. All of that pressure was making her nervous.

``Yeah, I'm okay.`` She chuckled, but Kimu only frowned. ``No your not, I know that look on your face. Come onn! You don't trust me?`` She tilted her head in a playful way and giggled, the dark smoke emitting from her quivering.

Pumi took a moment, then sighed. ``Well, I've been getting into spells lately and.. I found something.`` Kimu perked up, listening intently. ``Yeah?`` She glanced back over to her and sighed again, her tail twitching in a march.

``Thing is, I.. Wanted to come out to you. I, uh..`` Kimu was waiting patiently as Pumi got her book and flipped to a page. Apparently, the spell she was talking about was being thoroughly researched by her. ``I like you. M-More than a friend, I mean.``

``Aaawwww!`` Kimu nodded, leaning on her. ``That's so sweet! Of couurse I'm fine with that, were you nervous?`` She was also watching her flip through the page with her claw, eventually settling on a diagram. ``There's.. more to it.``

Pumi turned back to her and took a deep breath. ``There's a forbidden spell in here where you can merge bodies with someone and.. I also forgot to tell you.. I'm going to be terminated tomorrow.``

Kimu's jaw practically fell to the floor. ``WHAAAAAAT!?`` She exclaimed in utter shock. ``Why would they DO that? Your PERFECT.`` Pumi snorted a little, her reaction showing how she cared cheering her a little.

``They said I have no purpose anymore and, I was a useless god. And I was thinking.. If we used this spell we'd be safe.`` Kimu was still processing, her ghostly body showing a little more anger than usual. ``So we can get under the radar? As long as I'm with you, I'm taking it.``

Pumi's heart almost skipped a beat, gulping. ``We'd be banished to the exchange though.. I've never been, is it alright?`` She scoffed. ``Yeah! Its a pretty calm place with nice people. Also, YOU HAVE to see the World's Hut. I'd totally live there for eternity.``

She sighed, getting up as her body was shaking. ``Well.. We'll go.. preform the spell I guess. We have to do it now though, I don't want to be caught.`` Kimu nodded, following her to their dorm.

...

It was weird, becoming one. Luckily they escaped to The Exchange before they were caught and the guardian at The Portal agreed to pretend they were already banished. Pumi basically was in a frenzy everyday, since being next to the one they liked got their hopes up, even if they looked different.

The World's Hut though was pretty nice. They continued studying and enjoyed the other students as well. Kimu thought that Henrietta seemed a bit off, but otherwise the company from the rest of the gods there was nice.

They had easy chemistry with Sprite, though. They both had a similar origin story and understood each other's troubles, sometimes having hangouts at their place. All was well, and spending the rest of time in The Exchange wasn't so bad after all.
