There was a time in days gone by
Where all the children heard their cry
They tread through lands both far and wide
A lute and keybvoard at their side
Cursed with eternal youth
A god's wrath taking ripping tooth
They fell to music, sung their song
Of places that were now long gone
Of wanderlust and paper planes
Of arenas that once housed war games
Of love and battles, won and lost
Of songs once sung without a cost
But magic would soon take its toll
Their scales fell weak as did their soul
A night, a stone, a song unbidden
Their final stanza was left unwritten.
