Biography
Dirt Jaguar: Oakwood
Watermelon Peregrine: Pastry
Tomato Filigree: Banner
Hatched in the very beginning of dragonkind, the first thing to greet Luna was a clan of harpies who had driven out her clanmates in order to reclaim their stolen roost. Emerging from the ashes, she was taken in as one of their own, a silent promise that whatever came after this they would not stoop to the level of their foes. She grew up as any other harpy youngling would, learning their crafts as the initial fear of one of the dragons who took their home faded with time. She learned to play tag with the chicks of her home, using her wings to tumble through the air with half as much grace as her adopted siblings but three times the enthusiasm. She found delight in the traditional pursuits of her clan, in making bells and chimes and things to be woven into the feathers of her family and fill the air with music and the busy chatter of a successful roost.
This happiness was not to last.
The dragons returned, and this time, the clan did not survive. Luna and the chicks she'd grown to consider as close as family fled as their clanmates died in their wake, facing a force they were unable to handle and only barely covering their retreat.
Following a path outlined by the clan's matriarch, they went to beg for shelter from another nearby roost, only for Luna to be mistaken as an invader and shot down on the spot. Although her siblings cried and raged, they could not bring back the dead, and the clan they had come to for mercy did not believe their story of a dragon who did not plunder and kill. She was buried in a shallow grave, lacking the proper harpy rites as all of her siblings knew that their new matriarch would not allow them to treat her as one of them, knowing that her scales would grow dull and uncared for, knowing that her memory would be disrespected.
Her story was brought to the archives in the claws of her old brother, a dissenter among the flock guarded by his sisters after years of rage against the war which had claimed so many lives for no reason but land which could easily be shared. Tired of being coddled and treated like something important by the harpies who had claimed his sister's life, he went to the only dragons he knew would allow him to speak first, and helped found the Archive as a way to remember her and provide a warning to those who would shoot first and ask questions later.
