Meet Birch!

Every pirate crew needs a Doctor which admittedly is hard to find when your life is at sea.

Birch was found one day on a small raft, hidden in cloaks to hide his unsual face, a mass of feathers and eyes which often get mistaken for being angelic in nature. The captain took Birch in without question after several of his crew were surring from scurvy and suprisingly almost overnight everyone seemed to have gotten better.

Rumours about Birch say he's an angel, or perhaps even a demon, but one thing is for sure, he's a damned good doctor. He seems to enjoy his work, taking his time stitching up wounds or amputating mangled legs, saving all bits and pieces of the crew in jars and putting them on display much to their displeasure.

Birch often speaks in riddles so not many of the crew stay around him much though one of the swabbies has taken quiet a shine to his work and admittedly he rather likes the company. He hopes one day maybe they could take over for him or become an asisstant but admittedly swabbies are never very smart.

When he isn't speaking in riddles he's often trying to compliment the crew on their body parts but it never comes off right. No Birch, saying someone has lovely skin is not a great way to make friends, not when you keep such things in jars in your workspace.
