Tideling

Banescale Koi, unlike some of the other variants, are risk-takers. They have plenty of perseverance but are willing to impulsively leap on any chance for improvement. They never give up, even after many setbacks, but are always forward looking, ready for the next hurdle to be mounted. This determination kept their eggs alive in the millennia following the Elder's Fall, and caused their rapid proliferation after the re-emergence.
The Banescale Koi are always eager to encourage their fellow clan members to do their best and try hard. They are frequently teachers and mentors to the young, and excel at skill-based work, such as art, music, dance, or other creative forms. They are quick to give feedback on another's work, but never in a mean-spirited way, always in hopes of spurring the other on to improvement.
Due to the recent re-emergence of the ancient Banescales, their mottled coloration has not yet fully developed. Only time will tell if a clean-lined color variant emerges, similar to their modern kin.
