Biography

PATCHES
The Frankenstein

Role: Soldier
Pronouns: it/its
Bio: It's not that Dr. Wiley has never tried building robots on his own--no, he has. They're just never as sturdy as the ones he and Dr. Light worked on together. They don't move as gracefully, their movements short and jerky and, well, robotic. They're only really useful as canon fodder. But Dr. Wiley is always learning, always trying to study new methods so that he can add to his robotic army in a new, useful way.

Patches was one attempt at that: take what could be scavenged from his destroyed soldiers, and then get Fuse to help repair them all into a new bot. A patchwork of hundreds of scraps from destroyed soldiers. It's the most successful bot Wiley has built since going solo--not that it means much.

Patches still moves very jerkily, and will certainly never win in a competition for stealth. But, it gets the job done, and it can actually fly (Wiley's bots can never fly). He's sure he has Fuse to thank for a lot of it, but he likes to think he's improving, too.

Patches may not be as amazing as other bots, but Wiley appreciates what it represents: a new step forward for his robot army. As a result, he has developed (much to his own consternation) a sort of affection for the odd little bot. He sends it out on patrol, but not to the most dangerous areas and never by itself. But at least, whenever it gets damaged, it's easy enough for Fuse to repair it again into proper working order--such as that may be.
