Salma

Background: Originally from the Scarred Wasteland, on the border of the Windswept Plateau, Salma had always dreamed of one day becoming matriarch of a clan she could call her own. Tired of the constant struggle and day-to-day challenges posed by the plague ridden landscape, she finally made up her mind to see her dreams become a reality. Having lived near the border of Windsinger's domain for most of her life, she figured there was no better place to begin her adventure than there. For some time, she lived nomadically, spending weeks to months at a time fostering relationships with various Wind clans, doing the Dragon equivalent of couch surfing. Over time, she meandered her way south, one day spotting the black smoke of the Ashfall Waste rising over the verdant trees of the southern border of the Plateau. Having grown weary of the nomadic lifestyle, and intrigued by the smoldering plains before her, she set off once more to find some cozy nook to set down roots, this time for good.

Personality: Salma is quite reserved. She speaks deliberately, but calmly. She is dignified, even by other dragons' standards and especially for a Mirror. However, having grown up in the Scarred Wasteland, she is incredibly resilient and resourceful, qualities not immediately obvious upon first glance. She is ambitious, content to see her clan grow in size and influence over the seared hills and lava streams she calls home. But above all else, Salma is loyal to a fault. Not to anything or anyone in particular, not even the Flamecaller herself, but to her clan and her clan alone.

Relationships: Salma gets along with everyone, for the most part. She is the clan leader, and as such, is respected as the authority when it comes to decision making. Ultimately, she gets the final say. If most of the clan vocally disagrees with what she thinks is best, she will (begrudgingly) reconsider.

-Ortham, the first dragon to join her, is fiercely protective of her, despite his shockingly small size for a guardian. He can be counted on to unflinchingly support her decisions as clan leader, even if he may not understand them. (There is much Ortham does not understand.)

-Maelgad and Merwin were next to join after Ortham, as chaotic hatchlings happily (and recklessly) wandering the landscape. Despite being adopted, Salma refers to them as her "firstborns." Their "cooperative shenanigags" (sic) are a source of constant headache for Salma, often having to do damage control for her long-suffering neighbors. She hopes they will grow out of this "childish garbage" as they grow older. (They will not.)

-Artis and Lavrenti were a couple that migrated south from the Windswept plateau, searching for a new home after a brutal invasion by a neighboring clan. Feeling quite sympathetic to their plight, Salma adopted them with open arms on the spot. Much to the chagrin of Salma, their table manners are....lackluster.

-Oran, Amogha, and Sintara are the offspring of Salma and Ortham. These are her "secondborn," despite being the first of the blood-related offspring. These triplets could not be more different from each other, but there is much love between them. Amogha unfortunately inherited her fathers naivety, making her highly susceptible to the tomfoolery of the aberrant twins (quadruplets?), but very in-step with her father. They like to go scavenging together, enjoying each others company. Oran, being technically hatched first of the three, loves to claim superiority over her siblings, by right of being eldest (of the blood-related, that is). Nobody really entertains that notion, especially her mother. Finally there is Sintara. Her and her mother don't see eye-to-eye on anything. Sintara, being more Arcane inclined than anything, is much more interested in reading old scrolls Amogha and her father bring back from scavenging, rather than any "tedious, inefficient, and asinine" chores her mother would have her do. They love each other, but there is much tension between them.
