▾ Where there are dragons, no matter how resourceful and conscientious the clan is, there will be waste. Living necessitates consumption, and the leftovers of consumption have to go somewhere. This is Ripley's passion: trash. They take matter and objects that's at the end of its usable life and figure out how to break it down or repurpose it for further use. Waste not, want not! they can often be heard chorusing together, or in a reel, use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!
▾ Ripley lives in a hut perched precariously atop the clan's compost heap, near their good friends Bosc and Serotine, who tend the orchards and farm plots. The clever pair delight in turning the clan's food waste into rich, stinking compost to help the next cycle of crops thrive. They build trellises of junk and hack apart old tools and machinery to sell what they can't use for scrap. It's often joked that Ripley could've been a spiral in a previous life, on account of their excitability and zeal, but they know in their hearts that an aberration's true calling is to writhe in refuse and find ways to perpetuate life among even the most unloved, useless scraps.
