A hatchling from an abandoned Water Flight nest, the Fae that happened upon him felt a wave of pity for the young Coatl and brought him back to what little territory she'd claimed as her own in the edge of the Highland Scrub. Slowly after his arrival, the dragons of Clan Angelus began to fall ill and, one by one, they perished.

It started with those who'd first contacted him. Adrizel was the clan's founder and the first to meet him, and Adrizel was the first to pass. Then Chamiel, her mate, who spent almost as much time with Abraxas as Adrizel had. It continued in this fashion for a while, each of Clan Angelus' dragons becoming more and more scared. Eventually, those remaining realized their deaths were being caused by the newest clan member, but it was too late to save themselves.

He was cast out to wander on his own, hesitant to approach any other dragons-until he met Audra. No matter what he did to avoid her, she would always catch up to him. Eventually, her pestering snapped something in the Coatl, who lashed out at his shadow and detailed exactly how his old clanmates died. Audra simply shrugged, pointing out that she was still alive. From then on, they were inseperable.

Eventually, they found their way to another Coatl pair. They were Corona and her mate, Lovecraft, a duo seeking to carve a place out for themselves in the world. They settled in Arcane territory and after a time their new clan began to flourish. The disaster of the Angelus illness never repeated itself, though Abraxas constantly watches out for and fears any sign it will strike again.
