Now all that grows in the skulls of the living are flowers of fear.
Full name: Hector Lecanto Age: 33 The rusted barbed wire slithers around that mess of bones and fur, thrusting into the bloody scraps of meat that lousily cling to its ribs. That large and heavy creature, that mangled and rotten caricature of a creature, hangs captured in your very own snare under the scorching zenith. After five years of dedication to this dreadful duty, you’ve never seen something like that. Now, you have seen the twisted, and you’ve seen the malformed and distorted and wretched, but never, never something like this, something so decayed that its original form was unrecognizable. “Who did this to you?” you whisper gently as you trace the markings carved along its rotted hide with the tip of your blade. But, as you’re about to reluctantly cut the wire, snapping branches and trying to drag its head in pain, the being in front of you lets out a blood-chilling holler. Like a coward, you stare at it, pale as a ghost, and drop your blade. Like a coward, you turn around and run back into the village, as the black cloud of crows descends onto the decomposing body. |

☼ Once a humble goat herder, Hector had to endure several drastic changes after the destruction of his hometown turned his life upside-down. He became a ruthless hunter, pursuing the dreaded beast that brought mayhem to his town.
☼ Well, calling Hector ruthless is certainly an overstatement. He’s more of an enigmatic, idle pick-pocketer of hearts (of the slightly disheveled kind) with a keen interest in dilettante arts and philosophy. ☼ The ruthless part of the job is usually left to his brother-in-crime and, unfortunately, brother-by-blood Kirsch, who, despite being a quasi-functional alcoholic, somehow manages to be the more-skilled-with-a-gun part of the duo. ☼ Hector is usually busy with contractual and scouting work, but he can too pummel a beast or two in the face when the situation is really, truly, mightily, thoroughly dire. ☼ You can find these two fine lads if you go to the Dainty Doe inn, where they're usually occupied by testing the drinks or napping in the most uncomfortable positions imaginable, and ask for the Idiot brothers (the name wasn't authorized by the subjects). ☼ His favorite food is smoked ribs.
