⤚──── B I O G R A P H Y ────────────────────────⟶Once a hatchling from a small clan in the Daylight Sanctum, Coaltly was shunned for his innate skill in the dark arts. As a young dragon, he would bring small rodents and birds back to life from the dinner table for fun. He enjoyed practicing magic and learning new spells, and it didn't take long for it to become second nature to him. His clan saw it only as a danger, and saw him as a curse upon the small group of dragons, often praying to the Lightbringer to cleanse them of the blight on their clan. He was still a mere hatchling when they abandoned him at the edges of the Beastlands. They had expected him to die, easy pickings for the beastclans that hunted the area. But they didn't get so lucky. One of the beastclans jumped at the opportunity to have a dragon ally, and they took in the young hatchling, raising him as one of their own. He learned their customs, their hunting tactics, and more importantly, their struggles. They embraced his talents unlike any dragon ever had, and taught him how to even further hone his skills. He devoted his magic to protecting his new clan, as well as healing those who fell sick or injured. Over time, he found other dragons, confused and lost as he once was, and welcomed them into his clan as well. Eventually, those dragons became the fierce hunters that Sornieth has learned to fear. |
