Gamble wasn't always suffering with a corruption that threatened to take over his heart and mind, He still fights to be a selfless bookworm to offer knowledge to his clan.

The corruption has refused any attempted nicknames from Gamble, its now a game to try and come up with even stupider nicknames each time.

Gamble was brought into the Intracloud Songweavers as a young infant guardian, a bright spirit who had asked his adopted mother Illusion to help him shed the guardian shell and be freed to be what he truely felt he was. Illusion was delighted to offer her most cherished son the gift of becoming a Spiral and over the years she let him pick out what patterns he wanted to be his most genuine self.

In the beautiful spring of the Windswept Plateau from where the clan originally hailed, he found his most beloved wife Jackpot blown in from the Southern Icefield after a storm, It was love at first sight but they sought out friendship first and the bond was instant. They are the best of friends and it shows in every day of their relationship.

But one day things changed severely as while working upon a concoction in a attempt to make a new brew without Baldwins aid he spilled the unfinished and untested mixture upon himself and it warped him deeply. Half of his face is not entirely his own anymore as he now has a devil upon his shoulder and a warped eye unlike his personality. The corruption is capable of using gambles body to speak, The most common name for the unwanted mutation is 'Greed'.

It is not outwardly aggressive in any way but tries to get Gamble to participate in bets and dares. It is not uncommon for Greed to try and play dirty. Gamble being a dragon with a heart of gold is constantly trying to foil his bodies own sins. While Jackpot is supportive she is struggling to handle the 'uninvited guest' in their marriage.
