Half-brother of Ýmir, first of the eldþursar. Mate of Sinmara, father of Spárr, Arinn, Eski, Eldr, Breki, Brími, Feykir, Funi, Glæðir, Tandri, and Svíðandi (and more). Unofficial father-in-law of Hrímnir/Dúrnir. Grandfather of Uma, Röki, Sokki, and Vaki. Lord of Múspelheimr, warrior.

Radicalised by and beholden to avenge his half-sibling’s death—turns the guilt of the first worldly tragedy into fuel for his ambition, and is soon lost in a spiraling obsession for revenge for which he expects others to share in. Disillusioned with the gods and begins to respect them less and less. Staked his claim to a seat of power and refuses to release from it.
