Golden has a softer heart than his son Terrowin, meaning he is more likely to be lenient with any unhatched eggs or unwanted hatchlings he might come across, but he is also dedicated to following orders without question. No matter his personal opinion, if Captain Terrowin issues an order, he'll follow it. He is a devout and founding member of the Dawnguard.

Every so often he does remind his boy that Terrowin was a hatchling too, once upon a time...
