Life is not without suffering.
At least, that is what made Erebus come to life.
As Anxiota's ashy breath fell from her mouth after her attack, the collapse of her being casting a dark shadow over the magical remnants.

And with her shadow having fallen, a being rose, eyes as black as tar as she stood, maintaining the figure of the unconscious one before her...
And she simply walked away. Erebus knew not of Anxiota or the fiends, but a part of her felt like.. she didn't belong there.
She didn't belong anywhere.
No labyrinth held enough light to make a difference
No cave held enough darkness to conceal her
So she crept into the depths of the cracked mountains, and founded her silent home there.

The falsehoods of wildclaws, and the temptations of other elementals, she stole from the one who was falsely chosen, and took her rightful place as the one of shadows.
"And who said I ruined what was never yours?" She'd taunt, and the darkness that lurked in every unlit corner would snicker with her.
