Chandra

At first the deep baritone has no discernable source, purring its way to a lone soul lost in the darkness. It promises comfort and acceptance.

Finally this lonely visitor sees the disrupted figure of a shadowy skydancer camouflaged in bioluminescent mushrooms. Visible only in movement, they are a starry-skied bioluminescence of purples and blues, dancing separately from the relative stillness of surrounding flora and funga.

"Far too many fracture themselves," the skydancer continues while gracefully making their way to the moonlit clearing. "Taught from such an early age to so desperately hide the inky slivers of our whole from even our own awareness."

"'This darkness isn't me.' They tell themselves. 'It can't be.' And of course it isn't. As a whole, you're better than your fears and worse impulses. But darling you are also so much more than your virtues and shining moments.



Name origin (Unisex name; "Hindu god of the moon, and is associated with the night, plants and vegetation")

The idea of an indigo moon represents bringing the subconscious to light - a recognition of our shadow selves intertwined with the light into a fully realized whole.

They are genderfaunet, a type of gender-fluidity that doesn't include any of the genders on the entirely female end of the spectrum. Chandra doesn't really give this much thought though. They are attracted to masculine dragons.
