Being a Replicant was something many despised. They were the strange mutants with no inherent powers like the first Rifter, cursed to have a life of harsh training in the hope that one day they could be useful. X was one of these experiments, but they oddly were quite neutral about the whole affair. They were an average soldier as far as their peers went, which had already unleashed their ancestral line of combat arts. Thus they were seen as somewhat of an outcast, in a line of Replicants that were guaranteed to unlock these powers, X had simply failed to do so. They still train, trying to unlock these fabled gifts, yet X is fine with the fact that they may simply never reach that breakthrough. They’re comfortable with this strange dilemma and have decided to take up other hobbies in the meantime.
