Cobalt Ore Gifted to him by Azure. While not as pretty as other dragon's gemstones, Strife likes it all the same and recognizes it as a component of some armor and weapons.
Tarnished Chain One of Strife's favorite possessions. It's broken into two parts. Symbolizes breaking free of the chains of the military.
Battered Shields Strife has long gotten rid of his weapons, but kept his armor and the shield he used to use on the battlefield.
Blueridge Greatshell An unusual companion. Strife admires it's determination, toughness, and tenacity. Even before they found each other, the Greatshell was very old.

Strife was born to the cold harsh realities of the world. Earning his first scar at a very young age in a scuffle with some older hatchlings.
He earned his second on his first hunting trip.
His third to a rival yearling.
As he aged his collection of scars grew. and with it his aggression and spite.
Malignant and cold hearted toward the world that so bitterly tormented him in his youth; Strife took to repaying the world for all the pain and indignation it had given him with tooth and claw. Carving a bloody name for himself among the corpses of his fallen enemies.
His most recent scars are battle wounds. And he wears those like Badges of honor.
No one torments Strife anymore. Not if they enjoy the land of the living.

"Monarch." He replied simply, "and an old war buddy of mine named Chronos." (owned by CloseEnough) He took a deep breath before continuing. "Monarch was the result of a great failure of mine. A mission I went on resulted in the death of her parents and the extinction of her entire clan... but... I saved her."

"I scooped her from the jaws of death and held her close, and for the first time in a long time I had something to live for, someone that needed me. I lived for this little imperial that was so helpless and small. It was then that I realized I didn't want to live to kill. I have since found a mate but Monarch continues to be the light of my life. I wanted to raise her, and I didn't want her to remember her father as a killer.

"When I had first joined the war, I assumed my end would be on the battlefield and then as part of an Emperor."

"Yes, I joined the fighting because from the moment I was born, I knew only strife. I gave myself as a weapon because I didn't see any other way, I didn't think I was capable of love, but I found myself bonding with my brothers in arms. Chronos and I have been through a lot. He rescued me from the jaws of death. I still owe him my life. He was my first real bond in the world and even if Monarch was what convinced me to leave, he started me on that path."
