Biography
Galim

Galim2
|
Galim was a curious soul. He would read and read of far distant lands and of hidden treasures. He would listen to his father and grandfather’s stories for hours while his siblings would be off playing in the fields. When he was old enough, he set out to explore and create his own stories. There were so many adventures in the world and new things to discover. He grew cocky with his skills of exploration, forgetting the dangers that come with it.
He was quickly reminded when he ventured a bit too close to a dark patch of woods that lead to the sounds of the ocean. Shadows were following him. He would hear things that seemed close but nothing was there. The shadows were playing tricks but that fueled the fire within him to continue. He learned very similar tricks from his mother.
She had taught him her trickster ways and told stories of their fay ancestry. These shadows must sense his heritage and are testing him. So, he started to match tricks with tricks of his own. The beasts followed him until he entered the clearing where the roads meet. There he encountered a large dog-like beast with tattered wraps and leathered pouches. He turned towards the young exploring trickster and with a low almost unnatural voice,
“What have the paths have brought to me today?” Galim wasn’t sure what he was talking about but stood taller,
“A traveler off to seek adventures.” The beast tilted his head, his eyes almost hollows, but almost a fire burning into Galim’s soul, holding him in place.
“Crossroads, he has been granted entry.” Galim jumped at the sudden appearance of a small being carrying a large scroll.
“Map has granted you entry, follow him to the entrance.” Galim looked at Crossroads, which must be the beast’s name and then at Map, who began to walk away.
“Come young fay, we believe you have kin within our clan.” Kin? Galim followed Map without many questions, curiosity got the best of him. Another small clearing overlooking the ocean came to view and there sat a dark figure, books floating around him as he walked around looking at each one.
“Gulliver, a kin had entered the territory.” The figure turned with a grin that screamed mischievous in a disguise of friendliness. He opened his arms in welcome,
“A kin you say Map? It is a rare sight to see another in relation to my father. Who are you kin? And what riddles do you speak? Maybe I shall fetch Faust to play some riddles with us. Or maybe Marva to join in some tricks? I want to see what little kin can do.”
