Biography

Syringe Vile
The Heartless Bio-Engineer

Syringe's presence was the greatest obstacle of The Midway joining with The Big Chill Clan, but his influence made him hard to say no to, or turn away. Eventually the Midway became a sub-clan of Big Chill regardless, with Ori having a "keep your enemies closer" take on it, and Syringe having a... "Observation phase" take on it.

Syringe was once the head of the facility that took Ori for testing as a child, and requested the attempted recoup that destroyed the Big Chill Clan's original lair in the Abiding boneyard. While Syringe himself is no longer interested in testing on Ori, his past and present endeavors have left The Big Chill clan moderately wary of him but unable to do much about it.

He is a product of science himself, a dragon-turned-syringe filled with diseases, mostly of his own creation. While originally raised and modified to be a tool of infection in the elemental wars, he proved himself to be incredibly skilled in a variety of scientific fields, eventually rising to become the head of a quarantine zone (#20), where he remained in power for a while before stepping down to let someone else lead things while he focused on work. He took his partner Scalpel to find a lab location closer to possible test subjects, eventually settling on the safety of The Midway in exchange for building and maintaining a power generator, a very lopsided and beneficial exchange, in his opinion.

Syringe is hopelessly cruel and callous, the only semblance of affection he carries is for Scalpel, but it can't even be told if he cares for Scalpel out of affection or because of their usefulness.
