» Colocasia and her sister were both adopted by Dust after the Coatl found them in the Tradepark. They had just arrived, but Dust took them in in a snap, deciding to raise the twins as his own.

Colocasia is not as interested in writing (and especially not interested in history) as her sister Melianthus is, yet she has taken the time to become a journalist to make her adoptive father proud. She will drabble down countless things, whether they be real or fiction, and give them to Dust or her twin for review. While Melianthus is only interested in the nonfiction works Colocasia creates, Dust is fine with both, and encourages the journalist to keep writing.

Since her sister doesn’t like to go outside often, Colocasia is often the one to go out into the world to get information for her. She pretends to despise this work, but actually enjoys it, glad she has an excuse to explore.

She often leaves the Empire, but when she’s forced to stay home, she goes to her best friend and best source of information, Rugan. The two became friends almost as soon as they met, Rugan’s flamboyant behavior catching Colocasia’s attention. It is said that she has a small crush on him, but the Obelisk is well aware that he won’t like her back.
