"Sometimes I wish I didn't know anything."
he knows more than he should. he is aware of the screen, of the viewers outside. you would think it would panic him, but he believes the most important thing of one's life is to keep their cool, and that's exactly what he does. besides, it would be a shame to waste his time worrying about things he could not control, like how the entity has altered his biography for the 20th time today, and spend his time trying to learn about what hidden ... thing... wove him into existence. what made him him.

Luther stared at the sky, at the thing that nobody else could see.

The screen. The weird glowy box in the sky, covered with some sort of glass.

He knew that there was a pair of eyes gazing back at him, not knowing his predicament. What went on in his mind. The fact that he knew that he had no free will.

He was all part of a game. A game, with dragons and funny little beasts, where the person in control (aka the one behind the screen, aka aka NOT him) could do as they pleased with their little "collectables."

Despair tore at the Coatl’s heart like the claws of a harpy. The idea that he never truly had his own say in anything, that though it sometimes felt like so, he knew deep down it was never his true self performing any actions, made him more than a little depressed.

But he'd never admit that to anyone else, in fear that if they realized what he'd realized long ago, that would break the game. Instead, he'd keep his knowledge to himself, to preserve the innocence of those around him.

He was known to be a little crazy already, for many a time he caught a glimpse of the awkward stares the dragons of Indifference gave him when they saw him sitting in the town square, looking at what seemed to be nothing. Maybe he was just crazy. But he knew deep down that he was right.

His self awareness terrified him, to be honest. But the thought of knowing more about this outside force controlling him tapped into his natural enthusiasm for learning, being a Light dragon and whatnot. Whether this part of him was ingrained into him for the game, or it was actually a personality quirk of his was one of his topics of research.

For now, though, as he snapped out of his thoughts, he'd try to at least find some sort of enjoyment. He might as well go for a swim, to clear his mind. He'd bring along his music player, too, for that helped calm him when his brain started to get all in a tizzy.

One would think he had not a care in the world if they saw him laying on his back in a warm, dragon-made pool. They could not be further from the truth.
